Along with my education and training listed above, my husband was active duty Marine Corps for 8 years of our marriage. I also began my therapy career treating active duty service members and their families at a private practice near MCB Camp Lejeune/MCAS New River. This experience ignited my passion for trauma treatment and gave me unique insight into military life.
My husband is now a disabled veteran, which has allowed me some insight into the nuances of the post-military lifestyle (i.e. transition out of military, working with the VA, family stressors, etc.).
My experience can aid individuals, couples, and families looking to heal from military trauma, or simply with assistance navigating the unique needs/stressors associated with military life.
